iOS 11 Top 6 Features at the WWDC 2017

The Cupertino-based technology giant traditionally announces software updates around iOS at its annual event. The new iOS 11 releases are interesting in their own right because the new iOS 11 now provides an avenue for existing Apple iPhone users to enjoy the advanced features without having to upgrade. Here are the features to look out for this fall:

1.Apple Pay Cash

The Apple Pay Cash Card will let you pay and receive peer-to-peer money transactions in iMessage and use it to make Apple Pay purchases online or in physical stores that accept tap-and-pay transactions.

2.Apple is bringing translation to Siri

One big inclusion is speech translation meaning that user can now tell Apple Siri something and ask it to translate it in the supported languages, including, Chinese, French, German, Italian and Spanish.

3.Siri Male and Female voice get an update

Siri is now getting an update with a more clear, human voice in both male and female intonations alongside some new skills that will improve its performance.

4.Control Center

Apple doesn’t want user to swap between multiple tabs. For instance, user can now adjust the brightness and pause the music on the same page. And if user want more details, they can 3D touch on a widget to get more features.

5.Do Not Disturb While Driving’ feature

Do Not Disturb While Driving feature is designed to keep users safe in the vehicles. This new feature allow users to set up auto-texts to tell whomever is texting that they are driving and will get back to them.

6.Indoor Mapping

Indoor mapping will importantly show user the internal trajectory of a public space, and Apple is first to launch it to airports and malls in specific cities. Airports will be updated at around 30 cities including Hong Kong, Chicago, Tokyo, New York, Boston, Los Angeles, London, San Jose, San Francisco, Philadelphia, and Washington DC. Malls will be upgraded at around 8 cities including New York, Chicago, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.
