Amabrush — the world’s first automatic toothbrush that cleans your teeth in ten seconds
Yes, you read that right. There is a new Kickstarter project called Amabrush, is the world’s first automatic toothbrush, and the creators claims to give you a full clean in just ten seconds. Users place it in their mouths and press a button. This new device then dispenses toothpaste and vibrates for ten seconds, long enough to clean every tooth, according to the makers.
The creators of this gadget claim that Amabrush can save you 100 days of your life that you would normally waste with brushing, and promises not to damage your gums. It is fully waterproof and it can charges wirelessly, and lasts up to a month in between charges.
So how does it work?
According to the Kickstarter campaign page, the bristles are powered by a magnetic hand gadget which vibrates the mouthpiece, while brushing your teeth. This new device comes out with toothpaste (change every month) that are inserted into the mouthpiece and released when this device is in use.
Within days of launching on Kickstarter the product raised €174,789, far more than the €50,000 asked for. The crowd funding campaign is due to close on 5th August, and the makers estimate the first products will ship in October as part of a pilot test. Replacements will set you back €6 for the mouthpiece (that changed every 3 to 6 months) and €3 for the toothpaste (every month). As the mouthpiece can be easily detached from the toothpaste and power pack, one Amabrush can be shared among multiple people.
