The end is finally, officially, here, oldsters. The current iteration of the Volkswagen Beetle ends production in July of 2019. And Volkswagen of the USA’s president and CEO stated that there are not any plans for a substitute. He did point out the I.D. Buzz coming into manufacturing as a sign that there is continually a chance it can come back, but certainly now not any time soon.

To mark the end of the road for the malicious program, Volkswagen is rolling out the 2019 VW Beetle final edition. It’ll be to be had in both hatchback and convertible body patterns and in SE and SEL trim tiers. From the outdoors, the main distinguishing capabilities are special colorings, Safari Uni — a beige shade — and Stonewashed Blue. To this vehicle, you must keep custom windshield sun shades. Those echo the colors to be had on the special final variants of the 2003 traditional Beetles bought in Mexico at the cease of that car’s production.
